Frequently Asked Questions on Working With Cathryn
What should I know about working with you?
My talks and workshops are energetic, interactive, and full of practical insights and next steps. I am the primary contact for all bookings, and am easily reached via email, LinkedIn direct messaging, or phone. Check out my video posts on LinkedIn to get to know me:)
What's included in your fee?
My fee covers any pre and post calls/meetings, and all materials. The only additional fees would be travel expenses, when applicable.
Can you customize your presentation for our specific audience and event theme?
I customize every presentation for the audience, and always ask for a discovery call with the organizers. I also research the association/group/conference requesting a speaker, as well as the attendees, and look at past speakers, their website, etc. for inspiration and ideas.
What kind of promotional support do you offer to help market the event?
I will do whatever I can to market the event, and will promote it prominently on LinkedIn and my mailing list. I am happy to produce a marketing video to be used by the organizers, or to provide headshots, etc. if needed.
How do you engage audiences post-event?
I stay at least an hour after every event, and love to engage with the audience. If I speak at a conference and an allowed, I like to mingle with attendees, get to know them and their industry, before I speak. It helps me to identify with them and "read" the audience during my talk.
Do you offer extras (book signings, meet-and-greets)?
I do offer meet and greets and there is no additional charge. If requested, I can introduce other guest speakers at the event or during meals, at no additional charge.
My organization has a limited budget. Do you have any flexibility in your pricing?
I have some flexibility and do offer special rates for non-profits or for organizations that are in Texas. Also, if the booking presents opportunities for more bookings I take that into my pricing consideration.
Will I receive post-event materials (slides, recordings, handouts)?
Most of my talks and all of my workshop include access to my slides and a "bonus" pdf of practical tips and takeaways. Participants receive the materials after they answer the brief talkadot survey, accessed by a QR code on a slide or handout.
What is your policy on event recordings and media rights?
I do allow video/audio recording and have no licensing requirement, and I do ask for copies for me to use in my social media and marketing.
What are your specific travel requirements?
I make my own travel arrangements and charge a fixed fee for travel, that covers airfare, transportation (Uber) and lodging. I generally stay at mid-priced hotels such as Hyatt Place or something in the Marriott chain of hotels. I never charge separately for meals.
