Dr. Chris Jochum is Professor & Chair of Teacher Education at Fort Hays State University and founder/CEO of CJ Leadership Solutions, LLC. An award-winning educator with experience spanning K-12 through higher education, he's received teaching and leadership awards at both secondary and university levels. As a sought-after speaker, trainer, and coach, Chris works with leaders in PreK-12, higher education, and corporate settings. His leadership philosophy centers on influence through relationships, courage, character, and service. He's the author of The Department Chair: A Practical Guide to Effective Leadership, hosts The Department Chair Leadership Podcast, and has a new book on Teacher Leadership coming out in the fall of 2025.
