How attendees describe this talk

Through Steve’s session, I was able to take a step back and realize that though competitive collaboration starts with self, it is the community that ultimately leads to the impact, and constantly improving upon that community is what consistently drives results. This session is a great way to create motivation to improve yourself and your organization.

Refreshing, a lot of what he spoke on resonated with me directly because I am a former athlete and the 27 day training spoke to the “dog” in me. Either you got it or you don’t and if you do, it’s your job to find likeminded dogs to push each other.

Completely amazing! Steve’s presentation made me think differently about concepts that I typically take for granted like curiosity, growth, accountability, and buy-in. Our organization will be forever changed as a result.

This session allowed me to open my perspective on some recent events that could have been handled differently if considering the shared common goal and bringing colleagues back to their why.

It was fun & impactful. If your team needs a mindset reset, Steve is your guy. If your team wants to grow, Steve is your guy. Don’t hire Steve if you aren’t ready to pursue excellence.

Highly contemplative session to kick off a larger conference or follow up session. Taking the content and concepts into follow-up team sessions would be an easy and effective exercise.

Inspirational and thought provoking. Gave great insight into what it truly means to be competitive for the betterment of the impact of the entire organization and not just myself.

I learned the importance of contributing to a team and have I bring value even when I don’t see an impact. I also heard a reminder of WHY I should create SMART goals.

Challenges you to be your optimal self. Biggest takeaway for me was opening statement/story about not realizing the impact you can make where you are.

Feedback for Steve and the event

Would have liked a little more audience participation to draw out some “commitments” from our team to growth mindset and accountability.

We’d love to host Steve for a tour of the renovated Huey P. Long Field House where the old swim and dive teams competed.

He is a great speaker and engaging!

Great job
