David's Bio
David Viney is a Fractional CIO and AI Transformation Director with over 30 years of experience leading technology strategy and delivery. He has built and run global technology functions at WPP, Heathrow Airport, BSI, Arup, and the BBC. Most recently, he built WPP Open, the world's first agentic AI operating platform, deployed to 70,000 practitioners across 110 countries, generating $40m in its first year. Both a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and Chartered IT Professional (CITP), David brings financial rigor alongside deep technical capability to deliver programs that generate promised outcomes. Through Alchemy Consulting Services, he works fractionally and on advisory retainer with organizations serious about transformation.
