Eiman's Bio
Dr. Eiman Jahangir's childhood fascination with space led him to pursue a career in medicine and space exploration. He is currently a practicing Cardiologist and professor at Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN). Eiman pursued his interest in human space flight for over 20 years. He was twice a finalist for NASA's Astronaut Candidate program and served as the medical officer for the Inclusion 1 mission at Biosphere2's Space Analog for the Moon and Mars (SAM). Eiman fulfilled his lifelong dream of going to space in August 2024 as a member of Blue Origin’s New Shepard-26 launch becoming the first physician on a commercial space flight and first Persian man in space.
