My story has always been about my unapologetic belief that doing it scared is still doing it—and that’s courageous. As an Iowa farm kid, the youngest of 16, grit and ingenuity were essential. I first said f*ck fear when I ran away from home mid-senior year. I put myself through the University of Texas juggling jobs as a bartender, gymnastics instructor, and nanny. I showed up for a boxing workout I was told I couldn’t finish—and went on to become a professional boxer before it was cool. Those early jobs prepared me for a 29+ year corporate career, including 13 years in Big 4 while dyslexic with numbers. Successful, yes—but unfulfilled. At 53, I said f*ck fear again, left, and built my own table of fulfillment—founding HBIC Advisors. Now my mission: help professionals, especially women, pivot, design their blueprint, and take their rightful seat at their table of fulfillment. My speaking? No-BS corporate wisdom that inspires audiences to boldly say, “F*ck Fear!” and take action.
