John's Bio
I've been a founder, co-founder, or early stage employee at multiple startup companies in the internet space. I've raised several hundred million dollars with my various teams in Silicon Valley, and I've always ended up with the title Chief Evangelist. I spoke at business conferences all over the world, did business development, appeared on television, had a segment on a radio show, spoke to the press, and thought I was a highly accomplished communicator, until I got to speak at TED. I totally blew it my first time on the TED stage. But that experience galvanized me to understand and grow in the science of communication so I could reliably and repeatedly be inspiring, connected, and relaxed onstage. I realized I could teach what I'd learned to help others grow, as well. Since then, I've spoken at TED twice, TEDx five times, and coached for over 35 TEDx events. My leadership, presentation, and speaker training are actionable and based in neuroscience to help transform how you speak.
