Frequently Asked Questions on Working With Dustin
What should I know about working with you?
I'm easy, and booking is easy! I'll direct you to my site to select a date, type of engagement, etc. You'll review a contract, and once finalized, I'll book travel. Before the event, we'll have a web conference to discuss details. After, I will send you an invoice for the balance. Easy, right?
What's included in your fee?
Everything is included (e.g., travel, expenses, etc.). The fee is the final cost; you will not be invoiced for anything else.
Can you customize your presentation for our specific audience and event theme?
Absolutely. I believe in RELEVANCE! The session should be tailored to the audience. Before the event, we will engage in a web conference or meet in person to discuss your needs. I am responsive and creative, with experience speaking to diverse audiences in a variety of contexts.
What kind of promotional support do you offer to help market the event?
The bulk of the marketing is yours. However, you'll have the full force of my social media (for what it is) to assist! I'll publish posts on all my channels, including videos, photos, and other content.
How do you engage audiences post-event?
I'm always glad to stick around and speak with attendees, take photos, network, etc. I usually bring copies of my book to sign and distribute as well.
Do you offer extras (book signings, meet-and-greets)?
Sure! Let's talk about how we can do this! I usually bring my books to events, and I love networking with attendees.
My organization has a limited budget. Do you have any flexibility in your pricing?
Absolutely; I know what that is like! We can talk about ways to address budgetary constraints. Booking multiple dates in the same region is helpful (e.g., you partner with another organization in the area, and I present back-to-back). Travel is my biggest expense, so this is one way to reduce costs!
Will I receive post-event materials (slides, recordings, handouts)?
Usually, you will. This will depend on the event and the materials. I love giving people the tools they need to succeed in their roles.
What is your policy on event recordings and media rights?
I allow event recordings, and kindly ask for a copy! Distribute it as you will!
What are your specific travel requirements?
I don't have any particular requirements; I arrange travel on a case-by-case basis. We can talk about this more in our web conference.
