Lauren's Bio

Lauren Sisler is a national award-winning ESPN sports broadcaster, former collegiate gymnast, and author of Shatterproof. Her passion goes beyond the game—she tells the powerful stories of athletes, coaches, and fans who show us what resilience truly looks like. In 2003, during her freshman year at Rutgers, Lauren lost both of her parents within hours of each other to their hidden struggle with prescription drug addiction. For years, she carried the weight of shame in silence—until she found the courage to share her truth. Now, she uses her voice to break the stigma around addiction and mental health, reminding others that healing is possible and our stories matter. “Your story is significant. Learn to love it—then do something with it.” Whether on the field or on stage, Lauren challenges audiences to fall in love with their own story, own their past, and live with boldness, purpose, and hope.
