Frequently Asked Questions on Working With Lonnie
What should I know about working with you?
Authentic - that's a common theme I hear after I speak. Partner - your event is my event, and I'll promote it right alongside you. I use self-deprecation, humor, and heartfelt stories to entertain and educate people. The experience is for the audience; it's not about me.
What's included in your fee?
It varies by the type of session. Keynote - the fee covers the keynote and up to three prep calls. Breakout sessions - handouts are included. Workshop - Materials, typically a colored workbook for up to 20 participants, will be included. This needs to be discussed more fully once details are known.
Can you customize your presentation for our specific audience and event theme?
Yes. I take the time to get to know my client's needs so that I can help them meet their goals.
What kind of promotional support do you offer to help market the event?
I will provide a short marketing video, and I will post the event on LinkedIn, often more than once. I will like and comment on social media posts leading up to the event, and I try to comment on every single post after the event when I have been tagged by an audience member.
How do you engage audiences post-event?
I stay at the event for a good while. People often want follow-up conversations, and I am happy to engage. Getting to know people and learning what is important to them is a highlight for me. Finally, I strive to comment on every social media post after the event if I have been tagged.
Do you offer extras (book signings, meet-and-greets)?
Yes, I am very happy to stick around for photos, questions, interviews or whatever the crowd needs. Let's make this event meaningful for all.
My organization has a limited budget. Do you have any flexibility in your pricing?
I do offer some relief for non-profits, local events, and bookings for multiple dates.
Will I receive post-event materials (slides, recordings, handouts)?
Depending on the event, I may have handouts or a free download with tips. I do not offer a free download of my slides. The event can be recorded for promotional purposes for future events, but cannot be shown in its entirety.
What is your policy on event recordings and media rights?
The event can be recorded for snippets for promotional purposes only. The talk cannot be recorded in its entirety for the purpose of showing it again in place of having the speaker return.
What are your specific travel requirements?
I book my own travel and bill $3K domestic, $5K international (air, hotel, car, meals). I arrive early to avoid delays. With airline status, booking direct ensures top service if issues arise. On a case-by-case basis, if "local" and still requiring a hotel.
