Frequently Asked Questions on Working With Michelle
What should I know about working with you?
My goal is to be easy to work with. I provide a website to download descriptions, photos, introductions and more to make your marketing easy. Just let me know how I can help. My favorite answer is 'yes'!
Can you customize your presentation for our specific audience and event theme?
Always! Everything I do is custom. I like to hear about your specific situations and incorporate stories, language, and even activities that are most relevant for your audience.
What kind of promotional support do you offer to help market the event?
I am happy to create a video to get people excited for the event. I can also include a mention in my weekly newsletter (>10k subscribers) and on my social media channels (~50k)
Do you offer extras (book signings, meet-and-greets)?
Absolutely! I am happy to include a book signing. I can also pre-sign books for special VIP guests. Other extras I have done for clients include: - Attending receptions - Hosting a lunch table - Coordinating with sponsor to cohost the book signing table - Working with sponsor on custom bookmark
My organization has a limited budget. Do you have any flexibility in your pricing?
Yes, I do have price flexibility. It is mainly for local, non profit, and educational institutions. But it never hurts to ask :)
Will I receive post-event materials (slides, recordings, handouts)?
I provide a talk-a-dot link to download the slides.
What is your policy on event recordings and media rights?
I am happy to have my live event recorded and photographed. I simply request all media files be shared with me and that recordings are for internal use only. For virtual events, the length of use of any recordings will be part of the fee discussion.
What are your specific travel requirements?
I typically charge a flat fee for domestic travel to make it easy for all parties. For international travel I request business class flight and hotel be paid directly and a flat fee for remaining expenses.
