Mickey's Bio
Mickey Lebowitz, originally from Brooklyn, New York, is a graduate of SUNY Oswego (magna cum laude and student athlete of the year) and Upstate Medical University (AOA and magna cum laude) and a board-certified endocrinologist/diabetologist (Fellow, American College of Endocrinology). For over 40 years Dr. Mickey has practiced inpatient and out patient endocrinology and has served in leadership roles as a Senior Medical Quality, CMO of a Medicaid Transportation Company, and medical director of a PA program. He has authored two books, "Losing My Patience" (2009) describes the challenges that leads to physician burnout and leaving practice prematurely and "The EQ Prescription" (2025) that offers clinicians, nurses and students EQ solutions to help manage healthcare. He is Six Second's EQ certified as an assessor, practitioner, facilitator, and coach and has given countless presentations and workshops on EQ locally and nationally and does EQ research on his PA students.

What should I know about working with you?
People and organizations that work with me may expect a very approachable, high energy, passionate, competent, well organized, engaging person and an interactive presentation delivered with sincerity and humor. I always consider who is in the audience and how to best connect with them.
Can you customize your presentation for our specific audience and event theme?
My presentations have as the foundation a transformative concept called the emotional intelligence zone. From there I can customize the presentations to talk about the patient experience, empathy, racism/discrimination, biases, leadership, organizational culture and climate, malpractice and burnout.
What kind of promotional support do you offer to help market the event?
I would send my press kit prior to the event and share my website and YouTube site. I a willing to work with the organizers to publicize the event any way that I can.
Do you offer extras (book signings, meet-and-greets)?
I have 2 books published. The first book called "Losing My Patience" defines the challenges of working in the healthcare system and why I left my private practice of medicine. The 2nd book, "The EQ Prescription" offers a solution to healthcare's pain points by using The EQ Zone to manage oneself.
My organization has a limited budget. Do you have any flexibility in your pricing?
Yes I have flexibility in my pricing. My main goal is to help my teammates in healthcare thrive in their respective practices, taking great care of patients and not burnout or leave their practices prematurely.

yes, I am willing to share my slides and recordings post event
