Miss Jai Smith, MPH, is an advocate for health equity and reducing barriers to care for gender-expansive communities. She helps public health and healthcare organizations learn how to serve Transgender, Non-Binary, and Intersex clients and patients through capacity-building training, technical assistance, and organizational leadership coaching. Miss Jai has worked in public health and healthcare settings for over 13 years and is a motivated, dedicated, and passionate member of the Transgender community, who continues to advocate for reducing barriers and increasing access to health care for her Transgender, Non-Binary, and Intersex siblings.

One of the things I appreciate most about Miss Jai (in addition to the clarity and relevance of the information she provides) is the way he models speaking about SOGI in a way that helps me apply it to my own work. She speaks about relatively complex concepts in a way that is clear, concise and easy to understand, and hearing him do so helps me learn to do the same.

Miss Jai is a wonderful teacher and her training catered to all learning styles. There were actionable opportunities for reflection and resource-sharing, and many opportunities to participate in asking and answering questions. I came away with ideas for sex positive changes I can make and advocate for in my work and communities!

Today we tackled sex positivity and how we can use this perspective of sex to approach clients. The session was inspiring in its openness and advocacy of the client's positive experience of sex and pleasure, as well as extremely informative with examples that built the concepts in a robust way.
