Frequently Asked Questions on Working With Phil
What should I know about working with you?
My goal is simple: deliver an outstanding program, make planning easy, and become your favorite speaker to work with. There will be laughter. There will be rubber chickens. There won't be surprises.
What's included in your fee?
My fee includes reasonable pre-event planning, program customization, presentation development, slides, handouts (if applicable), and post-event resources. Books and other materials are available separately or as part of a customized package.
Can you customize your presentation for our specific audience and event theme?
Absolutely. The core stories are always similar - but can and will be customized for your event. Additionally I animate a talking puppy to introduce me at each event. She will have a local landmark behind her for your event (Orlando - WDW, Toronto - CN Tower or Blue Jays game, etc)
What kind of promotional support do you offer to help market the event?
I provide a customized promotional video for your event that you can share across your marketing channels. It may feature my talking puppy ("Dad's excited!") for AI programs or the Red Rooster of Regret for Fry Your Chickens!
How do you engage audiences post-event?
I provide post-event resources to reinforce learning, including presentation slides with speaker notes. For AI programs, the notes document how the slides were created. Any workshop questions we don't get to are answered afterward and shared with attendees.
Do you offer extras (book signings, meet-and-greets)?
When schedules allow, I'm happy to include value-added opportunities such as book signings, meet-and-greets, and Q&A. Availability depends on the event schedule and should be arranged in advance.
My organization has a limited budget. Do you have any flexibility in your pricing?
Sometimes. If we're a good fit, I'm happy to explore options such as adjusting the program format, combining presentations, or bundling services to help meet your budget while delivering great value.
Will I receive post-event materials (slides, recordings, handouts)?
I provide a pdf of my slides with speaker notes. This is critical for the AI sessions. Each element will have detailed "How to do this at home" in the speaker notes. Workshops also include a workbook.
What is your policy on event recordings and media rights?
Recording is allowed with prior written approval. Replays must be private and limited to 30 days. I retain ownership of all content and receive a full-resolution copy. Public posting, resale, AI use, or extended access requires separate permission.
What are your specific travel requirements?
I prefer a simple flat travel fee plus the client providing and paying for the hotel (if event is not local). It keeps budgeting easy, eliminates surprise expenses, and gives me flexibility to make my own travel arrangements.
