Known for her down-to-earth humor and real-world insights, Shannon has 30+ years of experience working with leaders—from companies, private clubs, associations, nonprofits, and Congress—to deliver clear, compelling messages that get results. Shannon is also an instructor at Georgia Southern University, teaching public speaking classes to undergraduates and communication and leadership classes to professionals. Her education includes a Master of Arts in Professional Communication and Leadership from Armstrong State University (now Georgia Southern University) and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

What's included in your fee?
In addition to a dynamic keynote or workshop that will leave your audience energized and equipped, my fee includes prep calls, customization, slide design, handouts (if needed), and peace of mind that the job will get done right. I also throw in a few bonus laughs for free. You’re welcome.
Can you customize your presentation for our specific audience and event theme?
Absolutely. My teaching methods are engaging and adaptable to the specific needs of the audience, ensuring that everyone leaves with practical strategies they can use right away to become better communicators and stronger leaders. I tailor each presentation to your industry, audience, and goals.
What kind of promotional support do you offer to help market the event?
You’ll get promo-ready headshots, a bio, session descriptions, and a short video you can use for social media or event pages. I’ll also help spread the word on LinkedIn and Facebook and give your event a boost to my email list if that’s helpful. I’m here to help you fill seats and build excitement.
How do you engage audiences post-event?
I love keeping the momentum going! I send a follow-up email with the slide deck and offer to continue the conversation through email or on LinkedIn. I really want your attendees to not just hear something—I want them to do something with it.
Do you offer extras (book signings, meet-and-greets)?
Absolutely. If there’s a table, I’ll be there. Q&As, selfies with attendees—I’m happy to connect before or after the talk. Just tell me where to be and whether there will be snacks and cocktails. (I am more of a drinkie than a foodie.)
My organization has a limited budget. Do you have any flexibility in your pricing?
Let’s talk. I try to be flexible when it makes sense. If the audience is a great fit and the impact potential is high, I’m open to creative solutions.
Will I receive post-event materials (slides, recordings, handouts)?
Yes! I provide slides in PDF format and can also provide key takeaway handouts and any other agreed-upon resources. I believe the value should extend beyond the applause.
What is your policy on event recordings and media rights?
I typically allow events to record my session for internal use, and I’m happy to discuss broader usage. Just let me know in advance so we can get it in writing so everyone’s on the same page.
What are your specific travel requirements?
I like to keep it simple: a non-stop flight if possible, a hotel with reliable Wi-Fi, and maybe a white Monster drink before the event (although, to be honest, I’m kind of addicted to those little buggers, so I’ll already have one ready). I’ll handle my own bookings unless you prefer to manage them.
