Frequently Asked Questions on Working With Sammie
What should I know about working with you?
When you work with me, expect a warm, fun, and delightfully funny experience! I bring a neuroaffirmative lens to every talk. That means audiences feel seen and energized, not lectured at. My top strengths are humor, love of learning, and hope and you'll feel all 3 woven into my stories & takeaways.
What's included in your fee?
My fee covers 1–2 prep calls, a post-event reflection with organizers, and I stay after for extra Q&A (10 min virtual, 30 min in-person). Travel/lodging are separate from the booking fee.
Can you customize your presentation for our specific audience and event theme?
Absolutely. I always tailor my talks to fit the audience, the event goals, & event theme. I’ll consult with you to learn about your group and can demo the talk during one of our prep calls. If you’d like a new talk from scratch, I’m happy to do that for an additional fee.
What kind of promotional support do you offer to help market the event?
I’m happy to support your marketing efforts by sharing posts on my social media (9,500+ followers on LinkedIn), joining a promo video, and/or providing my media kit for speaker graphics. If you have specific promo needs, just let me know early on so I can plan ahead.
How do you engage audiences post-event?
I love keeping the conversation going! I’ve hosted follow-up Q&As and shared additional resources with attendees. I’m always happy to connect on LinkedIn and welcome follow-up emails or messages from folks who want to keep learning.
Do you offer extras (book signings, meet-and-greets)?
While I don’t have a book (yet!), I’m always glad to join a meet-and-greet if you’d like. Just give me a little advance notice so I can plan my energy and time.
My organization has a limited budget. Do you have any flexibility in your pricing?
I know budgets can be tight - don’t hesitate to reach out and ask. I’m open to reduced rates for ongoing partnerships or creative ways to bring me in more than once. Let’s talk about what’s possible.
Will I receive post-event materials (slides, recordings, handouts)?
I create and share handouts with key presentation takeaways for attendees. I offer limited-time access to recordings for virtual events so folks can revisit the talk while it’s fresh. If you’d like to use a recording beyond that window, we can talk about licensing options.
What is your policy on event recordings and media rights?
I often record my sessions myself and can provide access limited to attendees for a short window (usually about a week). If you’d like to extend access or share more widely, is an extra fee we can discuss.
What are your specific travel requirements?
I aim to keep travel simple. For accessibility, I do ask for a break between my speaking time and any networking or dinner events. That helps me recharge so I can show up fully. As far as tech, a tech rehearsal with the screen, sounds, lav mic, etc. is pre-event will set us up perfectly.
