Audience & Client Feedback on Stan
1 / 6
The session focused on how to stay emotionally intelligent when navigating through difficult situations. Providing strategies for keeping conversations constructive even in the most challenging of moments. In summary, turning conflict into an opportunity to build stronger, more respectful connections at work. That said, every now and then, I catch myself relating to the Stuart Smalley character. A reminder that we all have inner pep talks when found in challenging circumstances.

Takeaway Summary: Dr. Stan’s Conflict into Collaboration talk was all about equipping leaders with simple tools to handle hard conversations with confidence instead of avoidance. He broke down how most people either attack, appease, or avoid in conflict—and how that leads to burnout, resentment, and costly turnover. The key is to set a clear destination before the conversation and use two questions to open it up: 1. “Here’s what I need from you…” 2. “What do you need from me to move forward?” Conflict is inevitable—but if we approach it with clarity, empathy, and the right tools, we can turn tension into progress.
