She holds a Master’s degree and has completed Phase I of the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT). This session was incredibly insightful, especially for those who work with students requiring differentiated instruction. It highlighted the importance of truly knowing each student and tailoring teaching methods to their unique needs, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. As a parent of children with learning disabilities, the session resonated with me personally, underscoring how essential it is to fill learning gaps and provide the appropriate supports. It was a reminder of the complexity and necessity of individualized instruction in the classroom.

My favorite part was how to respond to a kid in different states of mind. Weather they are in a flight, fright, or freeze state of mind or emotionally flooded. Remembering to be regulated before going in to talk to the student, and not matching their energy.
