Tom's Bio

What do Nike. Coca-Cola. Apple, and The U.S. Military all have in common? Since 2004, they’ve all brought in Tom to help build what he calls a Culture of Connection™ to boost team engagement, retention, & performance. Tom’s trained over one million people worldwide on his Engagement Based Leadership™ and Dance Floor Theory™ methodologies, won seven national speaking titles, served on the boards of both the NYC Entrepreneurs’ Organization & the National Speakers Association. And now, the weird stuff. He was named after a cat, lives next to Aaron Rodgers just outside NYC, has been on a reality show on NBC, gave a TEDx talk at UCLA, has a Youtube video with 18 million views, got featured on the Tofurky box. Can do 100 pushups in a row, & got kicked off Oprah Winfrey Show.

Frequently Asked Questions on Working With Tom

Working with Tom is like adding espresso to your event; more connection, more energy, and fewer people asleep in the back. His sessions are interactive, research-based, and spark real change. He shows up early, stays late, and treats it like co-producing a TED Talk with flash mob energy.

Tom’s pricing is all-inclusive; travel, prep calls, customization, delivery, follow-ups, and energy that doesn’t need spare batteries. You’ll also get promo materials and post-event resources to keep the momentum going, with zero surprise invoices later.

Tom doesn’t do cookie-cutter. Every session is tailored to your audience, tone, and goals. He adjusts stories, activities, and language to match your vibe. Want your core values mid-keynote? He’s in. Want him to dress like your mascot? That’s a hard no, but he’ll cheer it on.

We provide bios, headshots, topic blurbs, and promo copy that won’t bore people into deleting the invite. He can also record a short video to build hype or create a teaser message for social. Whatever helps boost attendance—he’s in your corner from the start.

Tom doesn’t ghost after the keynote. He offers follow-up resources like our Engagement Quiz, leadership reports, and post-event strategy chats to keep the momentum going

Yes! Tom loves connecting beyond the stage. Book signing? Absolutely. Fireside chat? Let’s go. Awkward selfie booth? Even better. He’s game for anything that adds value, as long as it doesn’t involve a water dunk tank. (Seriously, no one wants that.)

Budgets aren’t fun, but they’re real. If the fit is right but funds are tight, we’re open to creative solutions such as shared travel, off-peak rates, scaled scope, sponsor support, etc. We hate to see a great group miss out over a small funding gap.

If Tom uses slides, he’s happy to share a PDF after. He can also provide handouts, summaries, or resource links if helpful. Planning to record? That’s usually fine, just confirm in advance so everyone’s clear on what’s captured and how it’ll be used.

Recording for internal use? Totally fine, just confirm ahead of time. Planning to post it publicly or reuse it long-term? That’s a different convo. Tom’s flexible, but likes to know where his face might end up (especially if it's mid-sentence).

The program fee is inclusive of travel so we usually book it ourselves as Tom's travel can get rather confusing. As far as tech, it's pretty simple; project, screen, sound, lav mic, and a fog machine...just kidding...unless you have one.
