Quite motivational. Fire fighters and military type experience were interesting. It does require some thinking to apply to some of our research oriented project.
There is significant value in reviewing all aspects of jobs and not just the negatives or failures. Moving away from the current culture of focusing on blame.

Feedback for Jake and the event
To management i would say, if you are serious about this let's create a charge number for AARs and allocate time and resources. How frequently should we do AARs? Once a year, month, week? Should we include regular AARs in project budgets and schedules?
Maybe explain current cultures or specific aspects of cultures that are counter to this and common ways to smooth the transition into this way of thinking. We have a very post game who to blame culture here.
Constructive feedback - When there is a combo meeting, in-person and zoom, all questions from the audience during the presentation should be repeated by the presenter, and then answered.
Another challenge for researchers is that we almost always get new type of project where the problem requires new or different solutions compared to the previous ones.
I believe the lab should hire Jake to do more meetings like this. I believe we have a lot to learn from him about camaraderie and team morale building.
Cultural adoption is the largest hurdle to implementation in any organization. Lessons learned in that area would be valuable.
