How attendees describe this talk

An inspiring and creative presentation on how to advocate for students, and create change for them and their access within the structures of the school. So easy, everyone should be doing this with their target group of students that need opportunity access.

It was moving, the spoken word poetry to start was incredible and emotional. It also gave you opportunity to share and absorb, it wasn't just a "talk at you" speaker. Thank you!

The session is extremely informative, delivered in a passionate and authentic way that causes me to be more mindful of being a door! Thank you!

We heard a true testament from a colleague who is in the classroom teaching just like you and I. It was like we were just sitting down, having a conversation. He has a lot of energy and does a fantastic job of connecting to his audience.

I would say that the session was very relatable. It started like a movie with a great storyline. It was intriguing, kept me on the edge of my seat and ultimately made me want to be more actionable in the field of education.

AFTERMATH! Teachers must believe in their students and help usher them into a land maked as never-land where there access to the joy of learning and pursuing the dream of kings is possible ... THANK YOU MRS. IRENE CARTER

His session was incredibly exciting and a fantastic source of enlightenment. We delved into various aspects of data, uncovering how it drives decision-making, and how it needs to be observed and not misguided used.

This session was very engaging and motivated me to start off the school year strong but getting to know my students and meeting them where they are at.

You will not leave the same. You will leave inspired to move forward with power and expect greatness from your students.

Feedback for James and the event

I never had a teacher who inspired me in a positive way; I became a teacher because my 1st grade teacher absolutely destroyed me and I never wanted anyone else to experience that. I had great teachers whom I loved, but not the same experience you did. The internet access in our building is terrible—but the presentation was amazing!!!

Thank you for reminding me that yes, this hardwork, I am more powerful than I know and I have every opportunity with my students to be a door!

It was amazing to see a black, male educator present and discuss his struggles, perseverance and successes throughout his life thus far.

You were in your face without being in your face to some of our educators that needed to hear the information and see the data.

The RIS2E conference gets better and better each year, keep doing what you're doing!

That went by quickly and captured our attention until the end.

Don't be weary in well doing, YOU WILL REAP IF YOU FAINT NOT!

Thank you. We need more moments like this in our county.

I truly enjoyed listening to him share his experiences.
