How do I rearrange (or add and remove) questions on my Survey?

Hey all!

Today we’re going to discuss how to rearrange your Survey questions, as well as how to add and remove questions, if you’re on the Pro or Elite plan.

First things first, when you’re in the Code builder, you’ll need to go over to the little preview panel on the right-hand side, and click where it says ‘All Questions’ above it:

Even if you’re not planning to rearrange things, I typically recommend doing this, as it makes navigating your survey much simpler. On this screen, you’ll see that next to each question are three lines and a trashcan icon:

Grab and drag the three lines to move the questions around, or click the trashcan icon to remove a question all together!

Now the eagle eyed among you may have noticed that, in my image above, ‘Do you book speakers?’ doesn’t appear to have lines. Does that mean it can’t be rearranged? Well, sort of:

See, these 5 questions have to be together because there’s some conditional rules in effect here. Basically, if they answer yes to the ‘Do you book speakers’ they’ll be taken through the next 4 questions. If they say no, then they’ll skip right over them. As such these questions can’t be separated, however you can move questions above and below this block, effectively shifting the whole group up and down as necessary.

Now then, for the trash can icon! If you click this icon you can delete any question you would like (again, these customizations are only available for Pro and above subscribers). You could even delete every single question, although I’m not sure why you would!

You can add questions by clicking the ‘Add a question’ button, to insert a question immediately after whichever question you are on. After adding it though, you can always rearrange:

When you click that button, you’ll see two columns. On the left will be any of the Talkadot standard questions that you might have previously turned off, and on the right our catalogue of custom questions that you can add. all of these are customizable once you add them.

Pro or Elite, you can add up to 10 custom questions to your survey! However, Elite members are also able to edit the text of some questions that Pro cannot, just FYI.
