How the audience numbers on your account work

Why does your Total Feedback number differ from the audience number on your Profile? Find out here!

Hey all!

Ever notice how on your Talk page (the ‘View Feedback’ page) it will say you have one amount of responses, but on your Profile it will say another? Then on the Social shares it will show a third number, like what’s up with that!

‍

Here is what’s up with that:

Talks page:

This number counts everyone who answered at least one survey question, across all of your talks (including private or untitled ones).

Profile:

This one only counts people who answered whether the talk was valuable/not valuable (long term this will probably change, but this is how it works right now*), and only includes talks eligible to show on your profile: talks that have a title, aren't marked private, and have more than 4 responses.

Social Shares:

Lastly, this uses the same talk eligibility as the profile, but instead the system counts everyone who answered at least one question, not just those who answered the "valuable" question.

These three numbers are determined by slightly different metrics as you can see, so don’t worry if they don’t quite match up. That’s totally normal.

‍

Take care! 👋
