We updated our layout!

Hey Speakers!

Big announcement (though the eagle-eyed amongst you have already spotted this 🦅), your Talkadot Dashboard has gotten a much needed refresh!

I know it can always be difficult when things change, but I want to start by making it clear that all your data, all your talks, and all your survey codes are still there! They’ve just moved around a bit! So where’d everything go, and why did we change things?

First off the why. We changed things around because a lot of our menus were built before a lot of the features we’ve added existed! Your Public Profile was hidden under your icon at the top right (though you can still find it there) your Client Feedback was buried in your talks, etc.

Additionally, we wanted to emphasize our focus on helping you build Proof Equity! We want to help you collect data (or Proof) that you can then use to show Planners why they should hire you, and how reliable your experience can be.

We’ve used the term ‘Survey Codes’ or ‘Codes’ for years now, and I still get questions every week about the difference between a code and a talk. While your survey codes are still going to be referred to as such, to try and make things easier we set things up based on what you’re trying to do. We renamed them to say what they actually do. The menu also now follows how Talkadot actually works for you, in three steps:

  1. Proof: collect verified feedback from your attendees after every talk.
  2. Visibility: your brand and public profile, so planners can find you and check that proof.
  3. Get Booked: leads, proposals, and bookings, so you can put that proof to work winning your next speaking engagement.

We call this whole idea Proof Equity. Think of renting versus owning a home. Rent money disappears every month, but mortgage payments build equity that you keep. Speaking used to work like renting: you give a great talk, you walk off stage, and the proof of how good it was disappears with the room.

We know trust is at an all time low with the volume of noise being generated now but with Talkadot, every talk adds verified attendee feedback to a track record you own, that planners can check as an impartial 3rd party, and that keeps building over time. Instead of telling the next planner “trust me, I’m good,” you can show them! That’s also why Talkadot is more than a feedback tool, feedback is the raw material but Proof Equity is what it builds. Proof you collect, proof you use in proposals and follow-ups, and proof that helps planners find you.

Remember: nothing has been taken away. If anything, you have more. Pro and Elite members now have the new Proposals feature included at no extra charge.

‍

So, now for the part your really here for, where is my data!?

‍

Why do you need a survey code? Well, its to ‘Get Feedback’!

And you want to see the data that came in, or set up a talk? Sounds like you need to ‘View Feedback’!

‍

Looking for your Profile, your Speech Topics, or your Media kit? That’s all part of ‘Your Brand’!

*Psst, keep an eye on that Promote space, its still under construction. 🏗️

‍

Your Leads are just below that in the new ‘Get Booked’ section, along with the amazing new ‘Proposals’ system, and a place to keep track of any bookings that come in through Talkadot (this could include from your Profile, or through the Speaker search)!

Most of those pages will look familiar once we click into them, but if you run into any issues, I’m always here to help. Just reach out to me over at [email protected].
